HUI Shelf builds on the modular flexibility of the HUI collection by offering a versatile shelving solution that combines both recycled oyster shells and carefully crafted wooden elements. Designed as stackable units, each shelf can be easily combined to create multi-layered storage systems tailored to your needs. Just like the other pieces in the HUI series, the shelf incorporates materials collected from Korea’s coastal waters, giving it both a refined aesthetic and a sustainable edge.

The wooden components, finished with Ottchil—also known as Urushi—follow the same stacking mechanism, allowing for seamless integration with the oyster shell units. Ottchil, a traditional Korean lacquer, not only adds durability but also reinforces the environmental sustainability of the piece by using a natural, non-toxic finish. This cultural craftsmanship bridges the gap between the past and present, adding layers of meaning to the shelf, as it symbolizes both ecological responsibility and the preservation of Korean heritage.
