Description

Corallo is a chandelier composed of 13 bulbs of light, the desire to rethink the relationship between person and environment, rediscovering it more intimate, a symbiotic relationship, where the human being to exchange his needs with the creatures-objects he is surrounded by, creating a new ecosystem.

The Lamp was created using the traditional construction technique used in Viareggio for carnival floats.

About Jonathan Bocca Visit Showroom →

Jonathan Bocca (1998) is a Tuscanian sculptural designer from Lucca. Graduated in Interior and Furniture Design at IED in Florence, He got the chance to experience Fabrica Research Center in Treviso. Here he studied and worked on new materials for his sculptures and his objects. Peculiarity focuses his works on the use of recycled paper, a material produced by the waste of the main industries of his hometown Lucca. Processed for some days, is a compound extremely resistant, almost completely organic and well manageable. raising awareness on the re-use of organic waste in our daily life Jonathan thinks that design shouldn’t use un-recycling materials; he aims to spread the possibility to change the way design is conceived, starting from poor and recycled materials reinterpreting them and giving them a new life and meaning. The inspiration for the objects comes from dreams, transformed into reality by creating dreamlike creatures.
