Description

“Plano expandido” is an exercise in formal experimentation with aluminium machining processes.

It takes as a base the plan view drawing of a birail aluminium profile cross section, reproduced on the surface, sectioned, and folded to result in volume. Completed after the drawing in negative, which extends the surface of use and protects from the existing corners of the original form, the volume turns into a functional form as a combination of two coffee tables: Plano expandido N.1 and Plano expandido N.2.
