Description

“Light Matter” is a sculptural object that works around the concept of duality and interdependence, the balance between strength and fragility, light and matter. Often bricks are perceived as rough and strong for construction purpose, but here the same bricks appear deformed by a delicate light bulb in order to create a contrast upon its usual perception. The light bulb in the center of the art piece is held between the two bricks as if they guard it, one of them is being slightly pushed away by the bulb with enough pressure so the light bulb doesn’t fall down.

“Light Matter” is a sculpture made of three deformed bricks around one light bulb.
