The termite’s trail as a mark that design arrests and transforms into armor. Aluminum that petrifies the void into an unvanquished relief.
Erosia takes its origin from what the termite leaves behind. The tunnels, the voids, the internal geography carved through wood over years of invisible labor. Destruction as architecture. The aluminum top is cast to preserve that texture. A surface that reads like a cross section of something that once lived, now frozen in metal. Every piece comes out of the cast slightly different. The relief shifts, the density of marks changes. Each one is unrepeatable.
The base is plywood finished in white cedar veneer. Warm and deliberately organic in contrast with the mineral weight of the aluminum above.
Produced in a limited edition of 18 numbered and signed pieces. Each bears an engraved stainless steel plaque completed by hand the moment the piece leaves the studio. A certificate of authenticity narrates the full history of the design. It is received only by those who acquire the piece.
