Augusto is the third piece in the series of constructed pieces. The idea behind this series of objects is the construction of one piece through the assembly of two. Here, the idea of counterbalance of the pieces is important when firing the clay piece in the kiln. This is because if the taller piece is heavier, it can deform and break the oval that supports it in the kiln, thus risking the stability and harmony of the final piece.
The sculpture is entirely decorative. It is made of artisanal clay, sourced from a farm near the city where the the Mirrón Studio workshop is located, and fired at 1180 degrees Celsius.
The piece comes in 4 colors: cream, oxidized, cream with cobalt, and black.
Due to the fact that the pieces are handmade and painted with natural and artisanal materials, there may be slight variations in color, size, and shine.
