The one of a kind Haven porcelain vessels came to life in the spirit of fostering a playful, poetic way to share the experience of coming together at a table – they enhance food that has been created for this gathering. Every individual object evolves from elementary sequences of pouring porcelain slip into molds, a core technique in the history of porcelain making. In her unexpected approach, Schoemig generates thin, translucent entities that call to mind nests or other protective spaces, seemingly always on their way to becoming something else. They contain, hide, and reveal all at once—calling to mind our own ever shifting states of being in a closed, open and in-between.
All Haven pieces come with a pure matte, tactile porcelain surface. Inside they have a glazed area at the bottom where food can be placed. All pieces are easy to clean.
Every Haven piece is foodsafe and suitable for dishwasher and microwave.
