A Basny rug is a classic textile item, woven from sheep’s wool. In the Hutsul locality, this type of rug is called lizhnyk and is used in both regular life and custom rituality. Basny’s lizhnyk styles are hand-crafted utilizing time-honored technique, that involves more than ten stages.
Please be aware that because of the artisanal methods used in making the rugs, small twigs and leaves might get caught in the fibers. Hand-dyed and handcrafted
items may also show irregularities in color.
The design is dedicated to spontaneous shapes found along the trails of the Ukrainian Gorgany mountain range. Its color scheme is inspired by the palette of Xanthoria Parietina, a foliose lichen inhabiting stones, walls, and tree bark.
The colors could be customized.
