Description

The merino collection is a limited collection by Draken Studio with three different motives following similar geometrical patterns and equal colors. The Designs drew inspiration from the south Argentinian landscape and its constant changing during winter season. Made with 100% merino blue, red, beige and light brown hand dyed wool from the Patagonia region of Argentina. All rugs are 2cm height offering a fluffly and raw feeling with synthetic fabric backing for better resistance to adverse floor conditions.

Each rug from the Merino collection is handmade in Buenos Aires which makes each piece unique thus has a serial number and a date of production marked in the back.

Made with high quality merino wool produced in Argentina. This rug is 2cm height aprox. offering a fluffly and soft feeling with synthetic fabric backing for better resistance.

Draken Studio is the tapestry project from Buenos Aires graphic designer Victoria Gondra. Rug Designs are first hand drawn on paper and then woven in cotton fabric with yarn using a hand tufting machine. All rugs are made in limited editions and as part of an collection which carries its own peculiarities, inspiration and narrative . Regardless of creating a geometrical or an organic design we always distance ourselves from clean and perfect lines because we are interested in revealing the artisans trace in each rug we produce. With this in mind as the brand motto we insure our products originality and the continuos growing of the project. We move away from repetition and challenge our creativity by avoiding producing large quantities enhancing the uniqueness and intentionality behind each collection.All rugs are in haus produced by a small team of designers and craftwomen who are constantly looking for the best Argentinians source materials.
