Ren – Cast Aluminum Coffee Table
by Formsophy · Grzegorzowice Małe, Poland

FORMSOPHY is the artistic practice of Alicja Prussakowska and Jakub Kijowski. Their profound fascination lies in textures, materials, and the stories these elements convey. Through a mix of traditional and experimental techniques, the studio creates sculptural objects that juxtapose a primeval aesthetic with exquisite details.Drawing inspiration from the fluidity and allure of liquid aluminum, Alicja and Jakub approach their work with spontaneity. In their hands, the casting process transcends mere technique to become a vital aspect of the creative narrative, holding equal importance to the final objects themselves.Every unique piece stands out by its monumental presence and autonomous nature. The duo describes their personal style as romantic brutalism, with every composition meticulously balancing rawness with refinement, boldness with subtlety, reflecting the dynamic interplay between their individual sensibilities.
