RAWLINE is an elongated, twisting sculptural column that rises from a rounded, grounded base into a slender, faceted body, turning subtly on its own axis as it climbs. Its tension runs vertically — a single continuous twist held taut between sharp angular edges, giving the form a sense of quiet, restrained movement, like a body caught mid-turn.
The name RAWLINE points to this unresolved tension between the raw, unrefined surface and the disciplined, linear logic of the twisting silhouette — nothing softened, nothing smoothed away.
Each piece is meticulously built by hand from a unique, sustainable composite of recycled paper pulp, natural cement, mineral pigments, and binders. Once fully dried and finished, the material behaves more like aged wood than cold stone — robust, surprisingly lightweight, slightly elastic, and highly resistant to splitting.
The irregularities of the surface are an integral part of the work. Variations in texture, colour and form are preserved rather than concealed, making every piece individually distinctive.
