Through symbolic elements that the artist creates through the art of mirror engraving, it is possible to transform the flow of thoughts that accompanies everyday life into reflective material, freezing them and making them tangible in this work with a pop vein, a poetic code of the designer.

About Leo De Carlo Visit Showroom →

Born in Venice in 1972. He graduated in Industrial Design at the Milan Polytechnic. After an experience in the field of goldsmith design, he arrives in Philippe Starck's studio. In Paris he is fascinated by design capable of expressing traditional craftsmanship in a contemporary key. Back in Italy he pursues these expressions by starting to collaborate with companies in which manual skill is a distinguishing element of production. The son of antique dealers specialised in Venetian glass art, De Carlo re-elaborates the different craft traditions with which he came into contact, through his personal creative universe. A mix of high culture and pop culture that offers a playful, at times disturbing, vision of the contemporary world.
