Description

LOLO is a family of objects, stools or side tables all of which are alike, yet different – like you and me. An abstraction about diversification.

Designed by Pernille Iben Linde and Morten Linde.

Local artisans have hand-turned the object in alder wood.
It is one-off, with a surface painted by hand and coated with matt lacquer. Any variation in color or detailing is a result of the handcrafted nature of this item. Slight imperfections are not to be considered defects, but add to its value and unique character.

Studio YOLK is a family based art and design space founded by Pernille Iben Linde and Morten Linde. Their shared interests, professional backgrounds, love of materials, aesthetic sensibility, creative urge and curiosity is the basis for studio YOLK. So far, two of their three children – Amanda and Carl Otto Linde – are active members.

The starting point is the academic discipline and professional expertise of each YOLK member, ranging from product and furniture design, to visual communication, to fashion and fine art. YOLK artists are represented individually and also through collaborative cross-disciplinary work. Pernille, Amanda and Morten are from the Royal Danish Academy of Design in Copenhagen. Carl Otto is from Gerrit Rietveld Academie, fine arts in Amsterdam. Both Pernille Iben and Morten are psychotherapists in addition to their design background.

About the designer

Studio YOLK is a family based art and design space founded by Pernille Iben Linde and Morten Linde. Their shared interests, professional backgrounds, love of materials, aesthetic sensibility, creative urge and curiosity is the basis for studio YOLK. So far, two of their three children - Amanda and Carl Otto Linde - are active members. They produce one of each piece of art and design, i.e. each and every item is a one-off. Occasionally there are series, but never with identical expression. Some designs come in limited editions too. Studio YOLK work in all materials and draw upon external artisans and craftsmen. Pernille Iben and Morten have been together for the last 36 years. They live and work in the countryside. Amanda lives in Copenhagen where she in addition to her YOLK art, produces and sells jewellery through her own company - Amanda Johanne Linde. Carl Otto is currently working in Amsterdam.
