I am dealing with no object, no image, and no focus, it is all a haze affected by the surroundings and the imagination of the viewer.

Each painting is a transparent fabric painted with acrylic paint. The light in the room affects the painting in various ways.

The background behind the painting is also very important. If there is a white wall it will appear as a normal painting. But if you put the painting in the middle of the room, you will then get a divider and a filter on your surroundings. The gradient paint will appear highlighted if a beam of sun or artificial light hits the work, and then you could easily imagine a sunset or a horizon over the sea or…

Hazy Horizon works made by Anne Nowak in 2020. The Hazy Horizon is a family of 3 transparent works, Hazy Horizon Red, Blue, and Purple. The works are made on aluminium silk screen frames, spray painted with acrylic paint.

Transparent work with a fluorescent lamp behind. Light not included. Possible to commission other sizes.
