The “Ferrosecco” vase collection takes its steps from an experimentation on industrial powder coatings – functional finishes designed to protect, used here for their aesthetic and unique expressive qualities. The piece focuses on the use of iridescent finishes belonging to the world of automotive bodywork. Its geometries are inspired by Art Deco/Futurist traces of moving mechanical parts in space, materializing in planes and solids intersections.
It is part of a collection made of three pieces designed to emphasize the finishes themselves. There are three different shapes: vault, spherical, and cylindrical, and have been created to let the varnish respond to light in different ways. The coating makes the pieces solid, by nature still and heavy, dynamic and elegant. These sharp and dry lines clash with natural elements, living this tension in a captivating formal blend.
The lemon color has been created in a limited edition of 5 pieces. Any specific order will be produced in a different color.
An ongoing project started in 2016. Each piece is unique and painted by hand.
