Curio No.2 – Bench brings together textile and solid brass with careful attention to material and detail. The seating surface features a wool kilim, woven in Anatolia using traditional techniques. Its brass frame features irregular edge lines, introducing a subtle rhythm that complements the organic texture of the textile. A cast brass comb element—designed in reference to antique weaving tools—is placed as a finishing gesture, echoing the act of aligning fringe threads. The contrast between the softness of the kilim and the weight and permanence of brass creates a balanced yet striking composition.
