This rug is part of The cave collection which is a limited edition of 3 rugs in three different sizes; runner, square 1 and square 2. Designs drew inspiration from the primitive beauty of cave drawings meets modern craftsmanship. Inspired by the timeless expressions of early humans, this collection seeks to bridge the gap between history and contemporary design, bringing the raw, elemental energy of the past into today’s living spaces.

Made with high quality acrilyc wool produced in Argentina. This rug is 2cm height aprox. offering a fluffly and soft feeling with synthetic fabric backing for better resistance.

Draken Studio is the tapestry project from Buenos Aires graphic designer Victoria Gondra. Rug Designs are first hand drawn on paper and then woven in cotton fabric with yarn using a hand tufting machine. All rugs are made in limited editions and as part of an collection which carries its own peculiarities, inspiration and narrative . Regardless of creating a geometrical or an organic design we always distance ourselves from clean and perfect lines because we are interested in revealing the artisans trace in each rug we produce. With this in mind as the brand motto we insure our products originality and the continuos growing of the project. We move away from repetition and challenge our creativity by avoiding producing large quantities enhancing the uniqueness and intentionality behind each collection. All rugs are in haus produced by a small team of designers and craftwomen who are constantly looking for the best Argentinians source materials.
