In the creation of this inaugural piece within the collection, Panorammma embarked on a quest to design an entity open to diverse forms of expression, ultimately probing humanity’s inclination towards constraint. Chainmail, as the chosen medium, epitomizes Felix Guattari’s concept of a body without organs—a simple yet versatile machine comprising independently rigid and unyielding components. It consists of a meticulously hand-linked chain of rings that converge to forge a robust and flexible mesh, cascading akin to textile.

Chainmail, a material laden with historical significance, signifies both grandeur and victory, as well as violence. Initially devised for protective armor, it has transcended into the realms of jewelry, punctuations, restraint, bondage, and discipline. It exemplifies an ancient craft that paradoxically exudes an industrial and modern aesthetic. With this pendant, Panorammma aspired to fashion an object that melds industrial materials into a gentle luminescent sanctuary.
