Located in Tribeca, the New York branch of Spring Studios is a dynamic event facility, embodying the creative spirit of its London-based parent company. With an additional studio in Milan, Spring Studios offers a global platform for artistic expression. Spanning the upper four floors of a former call center, the space provides a versatile canvas against the iconic backdrop of downtown Manhattan.
Within its walls, Spring Studios hosts a diverse array of artistic endeavors, from high-profile fashion shows and captivating art exhibitions to pop-up restaurants and the prestigious Tribeca Film Festival. Tailored infrastructure for photography, film, and television production ensures it remains a hub of innovation and possibility.
A collaborative effort by MA and Aldo Andreoli, Spring Studios underwent a transformation to accommodate this multifaceted program. Strategic interventions, including the removal of entire floors and discreet additions of new structural elements, sculpted the space into expansive studios and essential support areas.
The most striking change lies in the introduction of a three-story curtain wall, rejuvenating the masonry facade and infusing the once-dated 1960s building with contemporary appeal. Enhanced by dark gray paint, Spring Studios maintains its position as a beacon of sophistication amidst Tribeca’s urban landscape.
Its seven studios, ranging from intimate settings to grand expanses, offer unmatched flexibility. Operable wall dividers merge spaces, while integrated lighting, electrical, and sound systems ensure seamless functionality. Adorned with simple white walls and an understated versatility reminiscent of modern art museums, each studio exudes timeless elegance.
