    The Wrinkled Collection is a series explores the tension between societal ideals of beauty
    and natural imperfection. Each one-of-a-kind ceramic wall piece combines smooth and
    elegant frames with skin-like, wrinkled surfaces, creating a dialogue between refinement and
    flaw. By embracing textures often perceived as “unattractive”, these collectible objects
    challenge conventional aesthetics and invite a renewed perception of beauty – where
    attraction and repulsion coexist.

    These wall piece are limited edition and one-of-a-kind. Each piece is made using glazed ceramic frame, and finished with a hand-sculpted silicone layer applied as post-processing

    Daniel Elkayam (Jerusalem b. 1992) is a multidisciplinary art-designer and image-maker based in Amsterdam. After completing his MFA in Social Design at Design Academy Eindhoven, his practice melds artistic research methods, material-rich contexts, and storytelling through objects. In his work, Elkayam investigates the boundaries of aesthetics and the space between control and release, uncovering beauty in imperfection and transformation. He reveals over/under-looked phenomena and narratives of temporality, identity, and memory.
