Description

This piece is part of a debut body of work by Curtis Bloxsidge that infuses knit textures with minimalist jarrah timber forms.
It is detailed by an angular boxed base that protrudes from the ground, a soft seat moulding, and a slanted back rest which holds a knitted inlay (by 2am close) – an ode to classical furniture features.

Due to organic laddering technique, no knitted piece is the same. Customisations may include variations to the knit inlay shape.

About Curtis Bloxsidge Visit Showroom →

Curtis is a furniture maker based on Wurundjeri land (Melbourne, Australia). Through a background in cabinet making and theatre set construction, he uses traditional and modern techniques to combine natural materials that form bold, minimal pieces. Drawing from personal and sentimental histories, Curtis crafts nostalgic designs from jarrah to create intimate characters for the home, subtly referencing the natural world and classical furniture archetypes. Jarrah (Eucalyptus marginata), native to the south west corner of Australia, is prized for its strength, rich tones, and durability. It is sustainably sourced from regrowth forests under strict environmental regulations.
