As part of the installation collection “Café Iris,” this piece embodies a dialogue between past and present, transforming remnants of urban decay into a bold, contemporary statement. With its raw materiality and refined craftsmanship, the Tbilisi Street Table serves as both a functional surface and an evocative reflection of the city’s layered history.

The Tbilisi Street Table can be customized with a stainless steel sheet or an oak wood top.

Around the Studio is an interdisciplinary collective founded by Tika Shelia and Ano Jishkariani, based in Tbilisi, Georgia, in 2021. The Studio explores cultural, social, and political themes through multidisciplinary projects that merge community engagement and collaboration. The studio employs a diverse range of practices, including object design, installation, and relational or video art. Their practice focuses on transforming objects and materials that emerge from collective actions into functional, everyday items. By reimagining public symbols as domestic objects, Around the Studio creates a dialogue between personal environments and larger societal movements.
