This object comes to life in the present aesthetics, even though in very simple lines, after almost one year of processing its shape in the background of the mind.
An early object of Radu, “Sun in Space”, is a relevant example of the workflow that the designer has, his objects are often put “on hold” in order to get to a point where their shape and finality are decided based on feeling, this leading to an intuitive process.
The composition for this object is made of steel, glass, and marble with a touch of wood on the front leg. A rough approach on the metal frame, balanced by the contrast created between the black marble and the colored glass from the top. The idea of the Sun as we rarely think of it, in space and on a black background, is the basis behind its name.
