A unique series of vases was created in collaboration with a ceramist RŪTA ŠIPALYTĖ.The development of the SPORTS AT HOME idea started in the spring of 2020, at the beginning of the lockdown, when the intensive rhythm of life suddenly stopped all over the world. This series of works is a reference to a unique period of time when the state of inactivity has overcome many spheres of our usual life. Sports is one of the dynamic areas, where everyday training sessions and rhythm are very important. All the objects from this series have been created from difficult items related to sports: basketballs etc. Everything not to be used during the #stayathome period. The work is built on the idea of community and connection. The sports are characterised by the aspects of competition and achievements, which in this work is replaced by the challenge of cooperation. The collection includes functional vases – sports trophies created from the remaining internal ball layer and ceramic details.

Severija Inčirauskaitė-Kriaunevičienė (b. 1977) is one of the most prominent artists of contemporary Lithuanian textiles, she is a well-known creator in the international art arena. She has received many awards (in 2020, the Lithuanian Government’s Prize for Culture and Arts was awarded to her for an important contribution to the field of Lithuanian culture and art), and is constantly invited to participate in international contemporary art and design exhibitions. Her works were acquired by significant art and design museums (Design Museum Rohsska (Sweden), Mo Museum (Lithuania), Leicester Art Museum (United Kingdom), Museum of Civilisation/Les Musees de la civilisation (Quebec, Canada), Contemporary Art Center/Musdienu Makslas Centras (Latvia) and private art collectors. The author’s works were displayed in exhibitions along such famous artists as Andy Warhol, Jeff Koons, Erwin Wurm, Marina Abramovich, Damien Hirst, Jenny Holzer, Daniel Firman, Banksy... etc.
