My work revolves around sensual functional ceramic furniture for the home. I create basic and symbiotic pieces that act to ground the spaces they are in. I think of my forms as systems of objects that relate to mundane fundamental interactions, like sitting, eating, and placing. I believe in the egalitarian nature of clay. It is important to me to create objects that invite the artist’s hand into everyday life. We live in a ‘flattened’ world; we collectively need sensuality to feel fulfilled. Ceramics coagulates shared and living experiences.

In collaboration with ADORNO and IED, Las Manuelas is presenting their most ambitious textile collection yet, the "Art Series", designed by highly acclaimed international artists.
