The design inspiration behind the “Seljuk” vase is the traditional Anatolian Seljuk architecture and ornamentation. The historical architectural elements of the Seljuk period date back to 12th-century Anatolia. The geometry that ZOYA’s ancestors used is quite symbolic. The balance of the geometric carvings and their symbolic approach has been ZOYA’s inspiration.
Casting glass is also old Turkish craftsmanship. So, ZOYA wanted to combine both design and crafts in their products. Beginning their new journey of designing objects as an architect, allowed them to meet new talents and artisans. They are thankful for their talented hands.
The components must be assembled slowly, carefully and in a balanced way. Glass parts can be washed with mild soap by hand.
