A relic of the Soviet-era, the Public School Chair by Around the Studio pays homage to a bygone era, often found abandoned or damaged on the streets of Georgia. This reimagined piece merges historical nostalgia with contemporary artistry, breathing new life into its worn structure.

Atop the chair sits a silver bird sculpture, a decorative motif once commonly adorning the gates of homes in Georgia’s western regions. By uniting these two iconic elements, the design tells a story of memory, resilience, and cultural heritage, transforming an everyday object into a poetic and thought-provoking statement piece.

The School Chair is made from crafted felt and aluminum, while the bird sculpture has a silver finish. It is available in customizable colors, including blue, red, and terracotta.
