The Rfc collection consists of thirteen hanging blown glass lamps designed for the Real Fábrica de Cristales de La Granja, made from twenty-two molds selected from the factory’s extraordinary collection of 4500. Each mold has its own identity and origin; some have been revived after a lethargic rest and now pay homage to their history, manufactured in a traditional manner using the technique of cane-working.
Molds that were last used in the early 1900s have been reused, giving them a new utility and contemporary vision. As light passes through the glass, it generates halos on the ground that seem to reflect the soul of each molds.
The primary material used is colorless to demonstrate the pure essence of its volume and its origin, creating a dialogue between tradition, technology and natural beauty.
The Rfc collection reflects our fascination with materials, purity, and the tradition of glass. Every time a Rfc lamp is sold, it helps preserve our historical heritage.
