Inspired by the Wiener Werkstätte movement, founded in 1932 by Josef Hoffmann together with Koloman Moser, the Plĭco Collection is the result of the interaction between different materials and manufacturing techniques, which find a point of contact through a profound study of design and craftsmanship, generating a product of extreme lightness and flexibility.
Natural aluminium, a material used in industrial production for series products, is chosen by the atelier as a structural element, light and reflective, bent and shaped into a modular element, capable of capturing the surrounding light and concentrating it along the surface. Enriching and decorating the collection is the leather weave of the atelier, characterised by a dense, light and resistant weave, yet extremely flexible and elastic in use and hold, becoming the structural and load-bearing joint of the design piece in Collection. The flexibility of the leather and the lightness of the aluminium allow the folding screen to be closed ‘packaged’, through the use of steel gaskets combined with spherical decorative elements that mark its verticality.
The geometric motif on the aluminium surface emphasises the sinuosity of the shapes, giving impetus and rhythm to the modularity of each panels, enriching it with details and becoming the distinctive signature of the atelier. The reverse side of the surface has a contrasting matt and satin finish to emphasise the texture of the leather and the rhythmic rhythm of the steel trimmings, which are reminiscent of textile stitching with their staple-like shape, making the two materials strong and binding them together.
Configuration: 5-module. There is the possibility of combining several modules, for a minimum of 4 W25. This modular furniture can be customised with different leather to meet customer requirements.
