    Description

    Perception is a collection of stainless steel mirrors. By heating the edges of the mirrors, the stainless steel starts to warp and reveal different colours.

    When looking in the mirror up close, the reflection is perfect, however, from a distance, the surroundings start to distort. The collection of mirrors creates colourful new perceptions of yourself and your surroundings.

    Every mirror is handmade in Copenhagen and will vary in colour due to its handmade nature. The collection is an experimental exploration of the unique qualities of stainless steel.

    About Troels Flensted Visit Showroom →

    Troels Flensted Studio is a Danish design studio founded with the desire to challenge materials and production processes. By exploring characteristics and expressions of materials we create products which tell new and meaningful stories. We’re fascinated by materials, colours and how things are made, and finds inspiration in the aesthetic and undiscovered possibilities deriving from combining the three. Our projects start with experimentation and intensive research and often results in limited edition and one-off gallery pieces. Some projects are further explored in order to achieve accessible design pieces and a more rational production process. This approach has led to several awards, grants and participation in numerous prestigious exhibitions. Our objects are available in selected galleries and interior design stores globally. The studio was founded by Troels Flensted (born 1987) who graduated from Central Saint Martins in London in 2014. In January 2015, he moved back to Denmark to open his experimental studio in an old harbour district in Copenhagen.
