This art objet by Undress House resembles a stool and embodies the quiet serenity that emerges after the flames subside, capturing the paradoxical stillness that follows destruction. When fragments are mixed with resin, they come together to form new shapes, much like past memories and remnants of the self merging to shape the present.
The legs of the stool are crafted from a blend of black crystal and resin, forming an organic structure that appears to cradle the tabletop. Made from burgundy-colored resin, the tabletop reveals scattered fragments of black crystal within, symbolizing the remnants left behind after the fire and embodying both loss and transformation.
Exploring the fragile boundary between destruction and rebirth, this piece portrays the fleeting yet profound moment when everything seems to have ended while a new beginning quietly unfolds. It reflects the ironic stillness that follows the burn, a silence that speaks of both what has been lost and what is to come.
The stool features sculptural legs made of black crystal and resin, seamlessly connecting to a burgundy colored resin top embedded with scattered black crystal fragments.
