Oculus 3.0 is a 1/1 prototype, i.e. unique in the world, which is part of a series of conceptual lamps designed and created by D’ARK atelier in Venice, Italy.
The lamp is entirely made using purely Italian materials, handmade by specialized craftsmen.
The philosophy of the lamp is based on the balance between the parts that make up the lamp.
The materials that compose the lamp are 1 bended hand brushed iron 2 wood pieces treated with YAKISUGI technique (a traditional and very ancient Japanese method of wood preservation, based on burning the wood).
Even without light, its monumental form makes a striking presence.
The lamp is completed by adding an elegant, standalone bulb and cable, bringing it to life.
Oculus 3.0 features two parts rising from the ground to meet in a dramatic collision, creating a piece that captures the essence of timeless design.
The name indicates in Latin an “eye”. Assembly of the parts is simple and requires no tools.
