Description

At Maison & Objet 2017, Salviati presented Nereidi – a collection of unique vases inspired by the charming and poetic atmosphere of the Venetian lagoon, the contrasting density between water and air. Like unusual, fragile creatures that surface from the depths, the vases have a solid base that supports an airy, delicate vessel. Every hand-crafted piece comes from the study of the material and its craft, along with great sensibility regarding form, color, and surface.

Innovation and experimentation, original techniques, novel forms, and collaborations with outstanding designers define a new and exciting phase for Salviati, which has been a standard of excellence in the art of glassmaking for over 150 years.
