Description

The Naiades 1 by Volupte Studio features a distinctive, sculptural form that commands attention with its unique texture and shape. The piece has a tall, cylindrical neck that tapers slightly before transitioning into a series of organically shaped, undulating layers. These layers give the vase a sense of movement and depth, reminiscent of geological formations. The surface of the vase is a natural, earthy beige, with subtle variations in tone and texture that highlight its handcrafted nature. Small patches of a lighter, off-white clay peek through, adding visual interest and contrast. The vase’s rustic charm and artisanal quality make it an excellent statement piece for a modern or eclectic interior, suitable for displaying slender dried flowers or standing alone as a work of art.

We work with natural materials, sourcing biomaterials from a mixture of urban and rural environments depending on the project. We are inspired by ecosystems of the periphery, or the places unseen, questioning the hierarchy of value that we are accustomed to. We want to create value through story and process, giving voice to material. By doing so, it gives us the opportunity to create sustainability, through organic shapes and forms that reach sensuality and pleasure. We live and work in Madrid, but seek project focus in the countryside of our childhood homes in southern France, and Bulgaria.
