Lexavala is a Polish brand producing lamps and, more recently, other objects founded in 2018 by Jakub Szkaradek.
All lamps are hand made in a manufactory in Nowy Sącz, where Jakub created a small laboratory.
The inspiration came from objects familiar to all of us from the past - such as industrial lamps, evoking childhood memories as something cheap that illuminated basements and production halls, or materials that evoke specific associations - such as marble, the quintessence of luxury and wealth, which seemed out of reach for us living in 1990s Poland.
Lexavala always strives to combine craftsmanship with the use of industrial technology, and its philosophy is to create designs that are accessible - affordable, physical, aesthetically pleasing, but also functional and practical. We hope that Lexaval's lamps reach people for whom design is an important part of life, and thus an essential part of their living space, which they create consciously as part of their story.
The future of design is timeless objects that are part of history and life, not subject to quickly passing fashions.
