Maratus gets its name from a spider that disguises itself as a peacock to attract or scare away, with its several eyes and an extravagant crest hypnotizing its prey.

Isabel Moncada is a Mexican designer and artist who specializes in the design of lighting and utilitarian art made in her own workshop in Mexico. Through exploring and finessing traditional manufacturing techniques, Isabel has developed her own mechanisms and transformed materials to develop her designs and engrave her personal style.
