Decorative vase made in the bark weaving technique. Made of stoneware, fired in a raku kiln.
While working on this series, designer Elena Yakimushkina often thought about the amazing nature of objects woven from birch bark: a thin and flexible ribbon, being woven with other such ribbons, form a strong and reliable shape.
Imprinted with the artist’s logo.

This vase doesn’t hold water but can be used as interior decoration or for dry flowers.

Born on the Baltic Coast, I've always drawn inspiration for my artwork from the serene beauty of northern nature. Ceramics, for me, is not just a craft; it's a lifelong passion and a medium for my creative expression. I am endlessly fascinated by the diverse forms, materials, and techniques that ceramics offer. One of the greatest joys of working with clay is the opportunity to experiment with firing techniques. I have a particular fondness for raku firing and wood firing, drawn to the hands-on nature of these methods and the element of serendipity they bring to the creative process.
