Description

This evocative piece, From Fragility to Stability – Sculpture_04 by CERAMIC 47, captures the delicate interplay between vulnerability and resilience, rendered in a poetic dance of form and balance. Imagine a sculpture in motion: one figure, fragile and translucent like glass, exudes an ethereal delicacy, while the other, solid and grounded like stone, radiates enduring strength. They lean into one another, each precariously poised, unable to stand alone yet empowered together—a testament to the interdependence of opposites.

The sculpture embodies the cyclical rhythms of life. In moments of strength, we bear the weight of those in need, and in times of fragility, we find ourselves sustained by the very shoulders we once steadied. Here, strength and vulnerability merge not as contradictions but as complementary forces, weaving a continuous exchange of roles and support.

Who holds whom? The answer lies in the symbiosis: each figure depends on the other to remain upright, to persevere, and to co-create the equilibrium we call life. Through this work, CERAMIC 47 invites viewers to reflect on the profound connections that shape and sustain us all.

This ceramic sculpture is a striking decorative piece that blends the raw beauty of high-temperature black clay with the elegance of porcelain accents.

"Working with clay feels like a conversation with nature itself. Every piece I design starts with an idea but evolves as I pour my emotions into it. Through ceramics, I find a way to express what words can’t, letting my hands shape the stories within me. It’s a deeply personal connection—a harmony of earth, creativity, and soul." Faye Papargyropoulou, born in Athens on February 21, 1974, is a ceramic artist and designer based in Athens. Since 1992, when she began her studies in art & design with a scholarship in industrial design, she has been exploring the connection between creativity, functionality, and artistic expression. With over 20 years of experience as a creative director at leading advertising agencies, she was responsible for the image and communication of major Greek and international brands, defining their branding and creative strategy. At the same time, she applied her artistic ideas to personal projects in fashion and interior design. In 2006, she founded her own creative agency, ABOUT: CREATIVE AGENCY, specializing in design, branding, and projects related to fashion and interior design. In 2020, she took the next step in her creative journey by establishing her ceramic studio, CERAMIC 47. Based in Athens, CERAMIC 47 is her personal space for artistic expression, where Faye creates unique ceramic works that highlight the beauty of imperfection and challenge traditional notions of form and functionality. Her first complete collection, Migrated Forms, expresses her love for fashion, drawing inspiration from fashion patterns. The ceramic works from this collection, unique and multidimensional, were first presented in Athens in February 2022. She later participated in several group exhibitions, including "L'ÉTÉ GREC." and “WOMEN CERAMIC ARTISTS OF GREECE” at the Moncoinstudio gallery. Today, Faye continues to evolve her ceramic art, focusing on creating unique pieces that explore the relationship between form, functionality, and expression. Through her work, she combines the past with the present, reflecting a deep appreciation for art, nature, and contemporary design.
