Description

This wall-candle holder is based on ready-made elements used in public transport. The cast holder, which was originally designed to connect pipes, has been repurposed and now serves as a decorative interior element. Inspired by medieval models, the object creates a very harmonious light, partly due to the unusual placement of the candle on the wall.

About Julius Esser Visit Showroom →

Julius Esser (*2001) is a studied object designer from Aachen, Germany. Throughout his projects he observes details of the everyday and abstracts them into visual and functional elements. Untold stories about often banal aspects become the focus of the subject. His work blends in between objects and spaces with the goal to develop emotional situations that stand out. Nevertheless, all objects pursue an extremely functional aspect with a specific task. Most of the projects were created as freelance work alongside his current studies in architecture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna.
