The Curvita table lamp, from Ecuador-based design house Laluz Handcraft, is a handcrafted sculptural piece that embodies flow and movement. Its solid wood body transmits softness and warmth while creating a unique sense of rhythm within its curves. Inspired by the moments between rains in the Ecuadorian rainforest, it captures the palpitating energy flowing between each insect, plant, and soil, especially in the delicate dance of water droplets from treetops to soil.
This lamp’s flow is embodied by carefully hand-sculpted asymmetrical curves into solid fair trade Huarango wood, revealing mesmerizing natural colors and shades. Vertical stripes of Chonta wood, naturally black in color, add movement. Grounding elements of wood combine with custom-made bronze hardware for the lamp’s electrical components, telling a beautiful story of connection with nature and dedicated craftsmanship.
The Curvita table lamp blends coastal influences, with its organic shapes evoking the fluidity of water, boho chic aesthetics, and minimalist design principles. Completely asymmetrical, the lamp boasts varying dimensions in its form. The lampshade diameter is 22 inches, while the diameter in the lamp’s body varies between 15, 11, and 7 inches. Despite its asymmetry, it remains stable with a perfectly aligned center and the grounding weight of being made entirely out of solid wood.
This lamp can be customized to work in any country. The exterior electrical hardware is custom made in solid bronze with interior black plastic electrical components.
