Description

The design of the Cuitzeo side table by Drusch Design, naturally combines Cantera stone and tempered glass, highlighting the beauty of natural materials. Hand-carved by artisans in Huichapan, Hidalgo, this piece is inspired by the image of a frog peeking out of a lake, capturing the essence of nature through simplified forms. The dark gray Cantera stone, a historically significant material in Mexico, has a matte finish that adds a timeless quality, while the 9mm smoked black tempered glass provides a modern touch. The sphere is hand-sculpted through the process of turning the stone, which is carved to form a sphere.

The design of this side table, created in 2021, exemplifies the skill of ancient craftsmanship and the possibilities of contemporary design, making it an elegant and sophisticated addition to any space. Variations can be made upon request, whether in the type of stone or the type of glass. For this, it would be necessary to check the feasibility of executing it with the desired material, which would be made to order.
