Over the last few years, I have been deep in exploration to create an ideal dining set, the pursuit being a direct response to finding myself underwhelmed by the options for dinnerware available at that time. This collection has been refined in size, shape, and quantity to be presented as a timeless design solution offering a well-balanced dining foundation for any household. Each piece is created using a hand-built master mold, allowing your collection to be added to infinitely over time. The process preserves slight irregularities and intricacies so that each piece carries the feel of being hand-shaped, while still maintaining a uniform shape and scale to keep your collection visibly consistent as it grows.
The Pasta Bowl features a wide, open form with gently sloped walls, designed to hold pasta, grain bowls, or composed meals comfortably. Its scale offers the function of a bowl while maintaining the presence of a plate. The Soup Bowl has a deeper, rounded profile designed to hold soups, stews, and brothy dishes comfortably. Its form offers warmth and function while maintaining the same clean silhouette that carries throughout the set. Constructed in speckled stoneware and finished with gloss and matte black glazes, the surface contributes to the quiet wabi-sabi character that defines the collection.
