Description

Barva vases collection is focused on combining abstract geometric forms of objects with the organic world of plants to offer endless possibilities and emphasize beauty based on opposition. The name of the collection – BARVA – refers to the theory and reception of colours as a compilation of objective physical properties and a viewer’s subjective feelings. The vases come in a limited colour series. The manual process of glazing and engobeing provides the opportunity to develop surprising colours and achieve non-obvious tonal transitions.

BARVA vases, especially when placed together, look attractive without any plants as independent abstract compositions. The designs may also be mounted on the wall, using designated hangers, to form unique decorative reliefs.

Barva vases are made of ceramic and glazed by hand. The inside is coated with beeswax and holds water. To clean the ceramic, we recommend using a soft damp cloth.

Pani Jurek was founded by Magda Jurek, an artist and designer. She graduated in painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and brings a conceptual approach to her work with the aim of creating products which are not obvious and not standard. She designs products which you can changed and rearranged with space and which also awaken your own creativity. She is also an advocate sustainability. Pani Jurek was also a co-founder of the Association "Based in Warsaw" which was set up to achieve social design as well as design for public areas.
