Description

BARVA vases collection combines abstract geometric forms of objects with the organic world of plants to offer endless possibilities and emphasize beauty based on opposition. The collection’s name – BARVA – refers to the theory and reception of colors as a compilation of objective physical properties and a viewer’s subjective feelings. The vases come in a limited color series. The manual process of glazing and engobing provides the opportunity to develop stunning colors and achieve non-obvious tonal transitions.

BARVA vases, especially when placed together, look attractive without any plants as independent abstract compositions. The designs may also be mounted on the wall, using designated hangers, to form unique decorative reliefs.

BARVA vases are made of ceramic and glazed by hand. To clean the ceramic, we recommend using a soft damp cloth. Only mild detergent can be used. Vases are not suitable for dishwashers.

About Pani Jurek STUDIO Visit Showroom →

The brand was established in 2010 by Magda Jurek, artist and designer. A painting graduate, she thinks of her objects as signs, sculptures or installations, treating them also as tools for building abstract compositions. Utility forms can also be a means of expression, like colors, stains, textures, shapes. Pani Jurek's objects go beyond conventional functions. Interactivity is their inherent feature. Conceived as part of a composition, they are designed in response to their surroundings and the people who use them. However, the usability of Pani Jurek's products is never neglected. The possibilities are tamed by ergonomics and material. Fascination with the material, mostly ceramics and respect for its possibilities and limitations is visible in all of Pani Jurek's products. All objects are produced on site in Pani Jurek’s manufacturing studio, mostly by hand, under the designer’s vigilant eye.
