Description

Baggage Claim-I, one of the pieces of the Baggage Claim Mirrors series, is a roundly shaped mirror made from a coloured mdf wood frame and colourful mirror slices.

Baggage Claim Mirrors are a series of two full-length mirrors and a make-up mirror coming with 6 colour alternatives designed through a playful concept that came to mind and lighted a spark in a dull moment; waiting and watching the hypnotising loop of a well-known object; baggage carousel. Slices made of colourful reflective material are placed partly on top of each other to imitate the pattern and are used to create disruptions in the reflection loop. The transition has emerged a new function and brought design objects to life that also work as artwork.

Clean it gently with a slightly wet and soft towel, do not use chemical cleaning products and do not put too much pressure on mirror slices. Keep it away from direct sunlight.

Istanbul based interior design studio Living Cult created by architect/designer Muge Kahraman. Muge studied architecture in Istanbul and got her MA degree in Interior and Spatial Design in London. Her individual design journey started in March 2021 after working for several boutique and large architecture/interior design companies for the past 5 years. Living Cult came to life with a simple aspiration of sharing spaces that represent owners’ authentic selves through collections of objects that they desire to bring together in their spaces. She believes every space has its own narrative waiting to be come out and a unique concept supported with unique objects is the key for each client’s desire of authentic space. Architecture creates the foundation to experiment through all design fields and she aspires to apply the skills she got from architecture education in this way.
