This set of volcanic rock sculptures was created by designers Salvador and Enzo Compañ and hand-carved by the skilled Carlos Flores in San Salvador El Seco, Puebla, Mexico.
Using simple tools like a hammer, chisel, and grinder, Carlos shapes each piece by hand. Although they look like they’re put together from various parts, each sculpture is made from a single piece of volcanic rock.
Even if the designs are copied, no two are ever the same. This is because every rock has its own natural texture, and Carlos makes each one by hand without any molds. This means every sculpture is one of a kind.
