Hand-carved in natural stone using a meticulous artisanal process, this sculptural stool by Mexico-based design studio Ayres is part of a collection inspired by the legendary warrior spirit of Amazon women.

Deeply rooted in the mythology of the Amazon culture, this piece draws from their unwavering belief in the afterlife and their connection to the divine. The Amazoneum—the sacred altar of the Amazon warriors—was believed to be the place where great warriors transcended the earthly realm, reaching the gods after battle. This stool embodies the strength, reverence, and spiritual passage of these legendary figures, transforming raw stone into a symbol of endurance and connection.
