The OKO family is a collection of pieces made of ceramic with an unmistakable artistic panache. Each of the collections to date has made full use of the richness of illustration and its fine lines, the broad strokes of a paintbrush and the depths of multicoloured ceramic glazes. “IRENA” comes in a simple and compact spherical shape topped by a stout cylindrical neck. Made from non-refractory ceramics it offers great opportunities to exhibit painter-like expression, graphic composition or gradient colour transitions.
“FORMS” (2020) is Malwina Konopacka’s latest project. Stylistically it sets itself apart from the graphic decorations and painting-like expression of the previous collections. The walls of the vessels are covered entirely in saturated colours and their gradients in order to, as the name suggests, bring the form into focus.
