Description

A marbled vase by Atelier von Ehren in black and white—patterns that evolve, dissolve, and intertwine. Hand-built with care, its balanced form rests on a small foot, leading up to a delicate opening. An edge that connects and defines.

About the DUOTONE series
A series of contrasting works in black and white stoneware, the DUOTONE series combines graphic elements with three-dimensional form. The precise contours and pure simplicity of the colours merge into a visual experience. These ceramic pieces are defined by their clear dichotomy and harmonious balance. The sharp boundaries between colours create visual tension, while subtle transitions and gentle gradients reveal surprising depth and complexity. Patterns of repeating shapes and lines draw the eye, inviting it to follow a dance of light and shadow that comes to life in the stillness of the material. The rough surface is a result of the technique, giving the material a distinctive, almost porous texture.
