    ATLAS Side Table, ⌀ 50cm
    The ATLAS Table collection combines two processing stages of the travertine.
    On one side it represents the perfect surfaces that we are familiar with from contemporary furniture production: defined, clean, and symmetrical. On the other side, it shows the natural tip. It is a reminder of the material as it was provided by nature: individual, one-of-a-kind and raw.
    Transparency, reflection, and shadow dominate the simple and pure appearance of this ensemble.
    While the design is consistent with the images shown, the detail in the chipped tip is influenced by the individual stonemason who will be working on it.

    The glass tabletop can also be ordered bespoke in two additional colours: Parsol bronze and Parsol blue. Parsol is a glass expert specialized in fully tinted architectural glass.

    Nature never repeats herself. The Travertine has natural veins and patterns that vary from table to table.

    Studio Marfa was founded in 2015 by Florestan Schuberth and Janis Fromm while studying design and fine arts in Hamburg, Germany. Throughout their Bachelor and Master studies the two worked together on a diverse collection of award-winning furniture designs. Janis and Florestan understand design as a discipline to challenge the existing, the established, the tradition. It all comes together in their conceptional work - the foundation of every Studio Marfa project.
